Sharron  was born and raised in Oklahoma. She attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah,OK where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with core concentrations in Criminal Justice and Public Administration. After attending Northeastern she stayed in Oklahoma and started her career there. Sharron often worked two jobs to make ends meet and has lived experience being under employed at times and  no fair access to health care. Her experiences have kept her connected and active in the political process for almost three decades.

Throughout Sharron's career she has worked in the court system in district court, child welfare, mental health , vocational rehabilitative services and in the last nine years fought for fair contracts for low wage workers and state workers.

She has worked in coalitions in community, sat on local and state boards and held leadership positions in the democratic party. She has been apart of the democratic party since she was eighteen years old. 

Her experience in politics comes from community, coalition building, and lobbying in state capitols throughout the country. She worked for President Obama in the battle ground state of North Carolina in one of the highest disparity areas of the country and was very successful there, she  worked with community and the democratic party to change the disparities there and was successful in the metro and rural areas there.

Sharron has been in the labor movement for 18 years, worked in her unions and became a member leader which lead to her transitioning into the labor movement. In 2017 she helped organize on of the largest and most historic labor ballot initiatives in the country against "Right to Work". Another victory was the historic Collective Bargaining contract here in Colorado known as the "Partnership on Jobs". Workers received agency level wins,  step raises and a contract with some of the strongest protections in the country.

It was Sharron's time here in Colorado where she fell in love with Colorado and laid down roots here in Denver. Since that time she has been very active in the community, democratic party, NAACP and labor movement. She is the President of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists that she help found which as been a game changer for marginalized communities in  workforce development with youth apprenticeship and  helping bridge community to the labor movement.
